Nov. 25 – Free Election Webinar – LSUC
The Law Society of Upper Canada offers a webcast for paralegals who are interested in running in the March 2014 election. Five paralegals will be elected to the Paralegal Standing Committee.
The Law Society’s Election Officer will provide an overview of the nomination process and the election rules. He will explain the role of Paralegal Standing Committee members, including time commitments and remuneration.
Participants will have the chance to ask questions.

Dec. 3 – International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The Ontario Bar Association offers a professional development program delivered by ARCH Disability Law Centre. It will give licensees a foundation to better serve clients who have legal issues related to a disability. An updated ARCH Disability Law Primer will be launched at the event. It is designed to increase the profession’s ability to make legal services accessible to the public.
The event is approved for 3 Professionalism Hours through LSUC.
