A challenging Continuing Profession Development (CPD) event slated for October will provide licensees with substantive information relevant across a broad range of practice.
George Brown, CEO of George Brown Professional Corporation, and Director and Secretary of the Ontario Paralegal Network, says the all-day Raising the Bar Substantially CPD starts with an in-depth analysis of contract law.
“Contract is large part of the paralegal scope of practice,” Brown notes. “It applies to everything from small claims court to Landlord and Tenant Board. We feel that it is essential that all paralegals have an understanding of contract law.”
Several former Deputy Judges, a Deputy Judge, and high-profile licensees are among the speakers.
Sponsored by Tripemco Burlington Insurance and presented by CPD On Time, Raising the Bar takes place Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $150 for an in-person spot and $100 for the webinar. Archive access will be available for 12 months. Seating is limited for the in-person option, at the Centre for Health & Safety Innovation, in Mississauga.
