POA prosecution available for RTA offences

The Residential Tenancies Act provides remedies for both landlords and tenants. But did you know that provincial offences prosecution is also available?

Landlords or tenants can be charged and prosecuted by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. Fines of up to $25,000 are available for individuals. The Toronto Star recently covered one such matter involving a notorious tenant:
