The Member Assistance Program is a confidential service provided by <a title=”Homewood Link” href=”https://www.homewoodhumansolutions.com/MSA/lawsocietyuppercanada” target=”_blank”>Homewood Human Solutions</a>. It is open to paralegals and their family members, and is funded by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Peer volunteers are integral to MAP. Empathetic and caring paralegals who have struggled with addiction, mental health, or other serious issues, may wish to consider helping colleagues by volunteering for MAP’s confidential Peer Support Program.
The Peer Support Program, an integral part of the Member Assistance Program, offers peer-to-peer support. No experience is necessary; Homewood Human Solutions trains volunteers on how to support others in the profession. Aon Hewitt Inc. administers the training, to ensure the full confidentiality.
If you have questions about the program, you can call: 1-855-403-8922.
