Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN) thanks the volunteers and participants who made Law Week a success.
“Judges, lawyers, justices of the peace, court staff and other justice sector professionals lent their support to OJEN’s Law Week activities across the province last month,” the OJEN message says. “A special “thank you” to all the volunteers who coached mock trial teams or judged tournaments, demonstrated advocacy skills, spoke to students about careers in law, led court house tours or made presentations to youth on legal issues, among many other activities!”
Justice sector volunteers ensured that hundreds of youth in Ontario had memorable experiences and gained a deeper understanding of the role of the justice system in safeguarding Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Law Day and Law Week events provide youth across the province with opportunities to meet with justice professionals and learn how the justice system works.
