Paralegal Standing Committee Chair, Cathy Corsetti, says the “Breakfast with the Treasurer” events outside the GTA offered a chance to meet other paralegals outside the GTA, and to exchange information. The Sudbury event, May 28, brought together more than a dozen paralegals and many lawyers.
The breakfasts included informal discussions about current issues facing the legal profession, with Treasurer Thomas Conway, Law Society staff and other guests. Participants heard more about the Law Society’s Referral Service, the Membership Assistance Plan, the Standing Committee, Continuing Professional Development and paralegal organizations.
The Paralegal Breakfast for the Central-East Region, held May 16, in Barrie, included legal professionals from the surrounding area. Corsetti said the breakfast included a lively discussion among the professionals, who had the chance to socialize.
