Consumer Protection and Private Career Colleges

Post-secondary Education

Private career colleges differ from Ontario’s publicly-supported colleges of arts and technology. What should you look for when considering enrolment at a private career college? What rights do students have with regard to private colleges?

A webinar produced by the Community Law School (Sarnia-Lambton) Inc. explores these issues.
Presented by Margaret Capes, Legal Education Coordinator of Community Law School (Sarnia-Lambton) Inc., the session addresses the fact that many Ontarians are returning to private career colleges to upgrade their skills.

Private career colleges must meet the educational requirements set by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. The Private Career Colleges Act provides students with certain rights. Viewers learn more about how to advocate for these rights.

This webinar is supported by documentation, also available at the site, through Your Legal Rights.
